The hula.earth Mission Statement

„We live in an economic system that doesn't give its right value to the services that a forest provides from an environmental perspective.“

This is what Diego Saez Gil (Co-Founder and CEO of Pachama) explains in the “My Climate Journey Podcast”. And it's 100% true. How can deforestation still lead to a higher economic value than sustainable forestry? While we're running towards a climate crisis and are thinking of solutions for “artificial” carbon capture, we destroy parts of our “natural” solution at the same time.

How do we want to change that? By quantifying the ecosystem performance of our nature and providing valuable insights to certifiers and forestry industry. This allows data-driven decision making based on transparent data.

This is Us

We are techies, enthusiastic about nature and convinced that something has to change. We have backgrounds in software development and machine learning. However, now we want to combine all our skills and interests to come up with something new: say hello to hula.earth!
